2003-2004 Miss FAASDNC



Janice Vedizo Roxas was born in Marong Bataan, Philippines, March of 1980. She came to the United States in 1982 and has lived in San Diego ever since. She is the oldest daughter of Manuel and Marcelina Roxas and has a younger sister Jacqueline.

Throughout her education she has been involved in her schools honors program, active in the student body and was Commissioner of Publicity her senior year of high school. She was a member of Interact Club, an outreach group that volunteers to help with community projects, such as a yearly event where her City Council dedicates a section of the city to help paint and restore houses who's owners could not afford or are not physically capable of maintaining their homes. Along with being a part of the Rotary Club, she also volunteers at her local senior center to help with lunch and to share experiences with the seniors and helps tutor kids after school at a near by recreation center.

Janice also has a passion for music and travel. She plays the violin and piano and was a member of her schools orchestra for four years. She plans to travel the world within her lifetime to meet different people, see various landscapes, and to experience other cultures.

Janice currently attends the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), majoring in Political Science, with a concentration in Public Law. After attaining her Bachelor's Degree in 2004, she plans to obtain her master's degree in Public Administration. Janice wants to purse a career in the CIA or FBI, working with internal communications and intelligence research.

Arlene Aguilar, born January 4, 1990 is the daughter of Roland and Lala Aguilar. Her strong will and determination are traits she definitely relies on whit comes to her academics. She is in 7th grade at San Marcos Middle School and currently has a GPA of 3.83. Arlen plays the piano and flute. Her extra-curricular activities include singing and dancing for numerous charitable associations and Filipino functions.

When Arlene isn’t in one of her many activities or studying she loves to play sports, shop, chat on the phone, spend time with her family which includes her brother Nico, and two sisters, Jaimee and Regina. Arlene is also a fine connoisseur of good food, Filipino food especially. So don’t let her girlish figure fool you, because this girl loves to EAT!!!

Arlene is a focused individual and determined to be very successful in life. Her parents play an integral part in Arlene’s development and are indeed proud parents. Whatever path Arlene chooses, she has the right qualities to purse her dreams and aspirations.

2003-2004 Little Miss FAASDNC



Jaden Ofrecio Takayesu was born on December 10, 1995 in Chandler, Arizona. She is the daughter of Guy and Jeanette Takayesu and has younger brother named Gannon. Jaden is 7 years old and is currently in the 1st grade. She lives in Sam marcos wand loves spending time with her family and friends.

Jaden’s favorite hobbies include drawing, dancing and singing. She has been performing since the age of 3 at a variety of different social events. Jaden recently took 1st place in the bronze vocal division in the 8th Annual San Marcos Talent Competition.

Jaden hopes to become a professional singer someday. She would also like to become a Pediatrician since she loves children. Jaden believe that with the love and support of her family any dream is possible to achieve.
