2008-2010 Miss Teen FAASDNC

Miss Teen, Cheyenne Lynne Enriquez, is an active 14 year old attending Black Mountain Middle school on her way to Mt. Carmel High School next year as a freshman.   She was born December 12 in Poway, Ca. to Eddie and Kelly Enriquez.    Cheyenne is the eldest of three girls in her family. She has been a blessing them and has embraced being “ate” and is affectionately called Sha Sha or Shynee by all her family and friends!

Cheyenne has great passion for all that she does.  At an early age, Cheyenne battled cancer and with God’s grace, has been in remission since 2002.  Her drive no doubt has come from her experiences in overcoming all that life has put in front of her. She loves challenges and her determination shows through in all her activities.
She has been involved with Rancho Penasquitos Pop Warner since her recovery and has become an incredible cheerleader. She has competed for 5 years and has enjoyed taking 1st place at Nationals for 2 years in a row as an RP Marauder.  She will continue her cheer involvement at Mt. Carmel and has just made the Freshman and Competitive Squad!

Cheyenne also has a love for basketball and has played in the RPB league for 4 years. She will be attending basketball camps this summer and hopes to be as good as her cousin, Arianna Elegado, one day!   Her dream is to pursue both cheer and basketball through high school and hopes to be able to carry it on through college!

Some of her favorite things to do are shop, sing, and dance and hang out with her friends and family. She also loves to support her dad’s football games and attend Padres games (only when the Giants are in town)!

Cheyenne’s favorite saying that she shares with her family is that with GOD, ALL things are possible. In her heart, she knows that through God, she can do ALL things and it is this determination that she carries with her every day.

Cheyenne would like to thank her family for their support in her participation in the FAASDNC Coronation.  She is honored to be a part of the association and represent her community and culture!
